About ACEN
ACEN was founded by a young, diverse group of adolescents who attend Yorktown High School in Arlington, Virginia. The Carnegie Youth Leaders program has brought them together to ameliorate the civic and political environment in their community and beyond.

The Arlington Civic Engagement Network (ACEN) is committed to empowering local high schoolers through civic engagement. We foster informed participation in democracy, providing resources that demystify politics and promote media literacy, ensuring that every student can contribute meaningfully to their community.
ACEN aims to create a supportive environment where every student feels valued and inspired to engage. Through interactive learning and accessible tools, we help young people become informed citizens who understand their rights, responsibilities, and the importance of their voices in shaping the future.
